Audience Member Enjoyable but verging on trifling. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A cutesy little film about the sexual adventures of a young gay man in the summer near a beach. The film is very simple, a man who disliked his flamboyant boyfriend acting femininely, decided to go to the woods nearby and encounter a mysterious woman who allowed him to discover a different side of him. It's very explicit but yet has a great deal of meaning within. François Ozon was a genius at directing short films like these, it's an enjoyable LGBT film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Bonita historia, fantástica canción XD Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Short and on spot movie about psychology of gay person or let me put it in other words, seeing things from other shore helps you understand big picture. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member in this short movie that made François Ozon famous, a young insecure boyfriend of a slighlty older and more confident gay man has a chip on his shoulder about "straight-acting", campness and his idea of sex. He makes a scene, runs off in a huff, has a surprising encounter on a beach, and returns a changed, more confident, man. He's also incredibly cute. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Hey, look at this! I'm the only person reviewing this short film. So, since apparently my opinion is the only one that matters, I must say that I thought Ozon's short wasn't very good. Boy is sick of other boy lover & his lover singing old Sheila songs, meets girl who inexplicably wants to have sex with him, boy has sex with girl, than boy goes back to lover and has sex with him too, than says goodbye to girl but is allowed to keep the summer dress she gave him, and is energized by the whole thing. Either this film is pointless (in which case why bother with it?) or the point is that the main character hates the fact that he's gay, and it requires a woman's touch to get him to love himself and enjoy having sex. So he would be...bi, than? I dunno. I don't think it matters in the context of this film, but than, the film doesn't matter either so it's all good. So...the question of the heur...watch this film and its minor infatuation with Sheila, or Ke$ha's video for We R Who We R?, which is also about accepting yourself for you R? Ke$ha's desire to be forever young, young, ya ya ya young might be more shallow than Ozon's film, but it's by far more preferable, and in its own way, says more too.
