Hugo S A feud arises between two farm families after one of them leases its land to a gas company. Once the drilling operations begin, the members of both families fall ill as a strange virus is released into the air and water. A disease that causes horrifying mutations and spreads death among the local community. An authentic feast of human aberrations! "Unearth" is a reminder that Nature is a powerful force demanding full respect for its equilibrium. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Eric L It's a rancid piece of crap and that is its good point. It goes down hill from there. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/26/23 Full Review Kyla H Slow and disappointing. Just gross and lame. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/23 Full Review Brad P A character driven parable about the struggles of rural America becomes a frenzied fight for survival for a family whose desperation leads to Big Oil wrecking lives and digging up something that should have stayed in the ground. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Creepy/scary with a social message that's subtle, not in your face. Really great acting and kept me busy n the edge of my seat throughout. A def must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Even my love for Adrienne Barbeau couldn't save this movie. 40 minutes of eating, screwing and talking could be cut out and it would still be too long. Phil Hoad Guardian Like the drilling operation, this was a script in sore need of a clean-up operation. Rated: 2/5 Jun 21, 2021 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com Eventually Unearth turns into a gnarly soap opera, and moments of shocking violence are met with an eye-roll instead of the shock that comes from winding up an audience. Sep 3, 2020 Full Review Zofia Wijaszka FirstShowing.net Swies & Lyons' Unearth doesn't dig up anything new. But there is still something there. It's the way the film acts as a reminder for audiences that nature is the most powerful force, and nothing can stop it, even the most advanced technology in the world. Rated: B Feb 11, 2022 Full Review Joel Harley Starburst This is a deep, dark excavation of festering resentment and opportunism gone wrong. It can be too grounded for its own good, but, by the time its earth-rending finale comes about, the message is clear and true. Rated: 4/5 Jun 30, 2021 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ...uncovers a familiar story of greed and decay... Rated: 3/5 Jun 29, 2021 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming Though Unearth starts off as a thoughtful and harrowing exploration of the consequences of fracking, the feature loses steam in an apogee that takes a wild detour from its subdued roots.
