Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Despite likable performances, this dramedy ultimately disappoints, feeling irreparably split between its comedy sequences -- which always feel a bit off -- and its overwrought dramatic bits. Rated: 2/5 Feb 8, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Marla t I was all excited to see this movie. The preview looked funny. We paid to rent the movie and it was beyond awful. We could not get passed the first 45 minutes! The husband is so lame , The psychiatrist he sees are beyond crazy, it was just plain awful. A waste of money Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/23 Full Review Raven M Well, this much I can say-it has a heartwarming message about what makes a child yours and what you leave in this world. It does give a fairly accurate portrayal of what can happen to a couple who discover they aren't going to be able to have children of their own. What the movie failed to include was the numerous doctors' appointments and invasive, and also often embarrassing tests both husband had wife have to endure to discover why they're unable to conceive. The loneliness you go through when you're trying to have a baby when everyone you know is running up to you announcing they're pregnant. The baby showers you have to endure along with the pitying looks and the infernal and ignorant questions like, "When are you two going to get busy and have a baby?" You die a little inside every time. And the portrayal of adoption in the movie makes it look so easy--I assure, it's not. More paperwork and meetings with social workers not to mention the court costs and legal fees. But for the average person who hasn't gone through any of this, it's a story of a very relatable couple with a happy ending. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/01/23 Full Review Russ A I absolutely loved this movie ... it's a real gem! Authentic, compelling and thought provoking! The storyline was so real and the characters magnificent. Although largely a story about making and keeping babies, it has a universal appeal to people going through life's difficult and complicated choices. It made an impact on me. The last part of the movie was riveting ... "It's not what we are ... it's what we are to each other" is a line I won't forget! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review madison a A sweet & poignant look at the vulnerabilities of fertility problems for a young midwestern couple. The film remains light-hearted and funny while holding deeper themes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Deborah S Great acting and an interesting story based on real life events. It is slower paced but hang in there and you'll be in for a treat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Anita S Engaging performances with likable characters. Mazzello, in particular, was funny as Bob, the "mildly zonked," befuddled husband. I don't need more Marvel Universe action movies blowing up in my face. I actually miss the days of the rom com, which seems to have died with Nora Ephron. This may not be a slick city romance, like an Ephron film, but it is sweet and entertaining.
