An overly violent mess of gory revenge, kill crazy rampages in a day-glo UniSol brothel, and an awesome brain-drilling scene. Insane, esoteric, weirdly dense, and wanting in the logic department, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning is a damn blast.

For a film that should feel as if it came off a conveyer belt, "Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning" may struggle with its origins as much as its characters, but ultimately transcends them to become something revelatory for its entire genre.

Brilliant! Hyams saved the best for last. If you are a fan of the franchise and Scott Adkins, you'll love this. Great storytelling, very well written and brought to screen. Great cinematography and visually stunning. Lots of detail on fight sequences, lots of gore as well. Filled with raw action, some mind games, drama, suspense, twists and intrigue. All star cast excels in character. Very entertaining and gripping

This is a unique movie that will not work for everyone. It has some more horror-like elements to it, and the action sequences are unique, ultra-violent, and pretty incredible. The plot doesn't really make sense at times and trimming off 20 minutes of runtime would have improved it.
