      Critics Consensus

Unlocked strands an all-star cast in a spy thriller whose embrace of old-school formula might be refreshing if it weren't bogged down in genre clichés and a predictable plot.

Vale apena assistir? Sim. Nota: 7,5 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Renaldo D This film is simple and boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Test T I watched this on DVD recently. It's a terrorist action thriller set in London, centered on a female agent named Alice Racine played by Noomi Rapace, who I thought delivered a superb performance. It's one of those old style double cross movies where nearly every character you think is good turns out to be bad, which can get predictable. That said, I found agent Alice fascinating as a character, and enjoyed riding alongside her as the movie developed. I particularly enjoyed her intertigation scenes which I found insightful. There is never a dull moment in the story which is told at pace with plenty of combat action to enjoy along the way. I thought the handlers, Emily and Bob were too eccentric, and at times they seemed to be competing in a most bizarre dialog contest. I would have liked to have seen more stunt work, to complement the fight scenes, and the DVD had no extra content, which was dissappointing. Over all though, I found the movie exciting and worthy of recommendation. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/23 Full Review Jelisije J Decent acting, decent directing, predictable, but a nice straight forward plot that keeps you engaged throughout its run time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review Jeff C Is there really any movie that isn't somewhat predictable? This movie doesn't try to be something it isn't. It is 'spy thriller' with a descent script and a great cast. The acting is stellar, and makes the movie worth watching. The actors aren't 'mailing in' their performances, and make the movie easy to watch without feeling guilty about knowing the common plot themes. If you like Bond, Bauer, Ryan...you will enjoy Racine. April Wolfe Village Voice [Unlocked] is staid and formulaic, though well-executed. Oct 6, 2017 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service It would be a welcome treat to watch the Alice Racine chronicles, as she travels around Europe taking out terrorist cells with her combination of interrogation and combat skills. Rated: 3/4 Sep 8, 2017 Full Review Rex Reed Observer When it mercifully ends after 98 excruciating minutes, you still don't have a clue what it was all about. Jan 27, 2020 Full Review Dominic Griffin Spectrum Culture A fruitful exercise in genre, the sort of flick that might have a healthy shelf life on Netflix.
