Eddie Harrison film-authority.com Unpacking is a comedy, but not of the silly variety; it’s observational, it’s rude and sensitive and also funny…there’s every chance that this deft, acerbic film might just spring the indie trap and actually find an appreciative audience on streaming... Rated: 4/5 Jun 19, 2025 Full Review Romey Norton Film Focus Online Unpacking is funny, fierce, and refreshing. For anyone who's ever booked a retreat/holiday hoping it’s going to change their life, or just dreamed of doing it, this is a film that hits the sweet spot between entertainment and emotional truth. Kimmel North Shore Movies “Unpacking” is a sometimes funny, sometimes serious look at modern women, unpacking the problems of their lives while finding a way to go on. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Sabina Dana Plasse Film Threat The film’s structure is thoughtful, especially the soundtrack, and, for the most part, its characters are believable. Rated: 8/10 Oct 27, 2023 Full Review Amanda Mazzillo Film Joy Unpacking is an interesting exploration of change with strong performances that beautifully uses its location. Unpacking asks important questions of its cast of characters and explores issues from multiple sides, showing different viewpoints with tact. Aug 5, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Jo B I really enjoyed Unpacking. A story about women soul-searching in paradise is familiar ground, but this film felt relatable and fresh. It was equal parts hilarious and touching. A true coming-of-age story for Millennials in their 30-something year old lives. Brilliant acting and direction! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Oren P Unpacking is equal parts sweet, sharply funny and poignant. A bright light of a film we need during dark times that honors female friendship and community in a way I have rarely seen caught on film! Kudos to the filmmakers, who really made a unique, important film that anyone will enjoy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/25 Full Review Olivia B Relatable, Fresh, Honest - Must see for anyone going through change, uncertainty, and growth. A novel look at facing change and the truth. This film pulls back the curtain on what it's like to be looking for something inside yourself and entering an uncharted life chapter. With others who are doing the same thing. In Bali. On a spiritual retreat. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Chelsea K As a 30-something woman, I deeply relate to so many of the issues brought up in this film, and I appreciated how direct & authentic the script brought out real life scenarios. I also found it so endearing and comedic - awkward and silly in some parts, and hilariously accurate to the less than perfect moments we all face in life. All emotions wrapped up into an hour and a half. Great acting, and I loved the soundtrack! I was lucky enough to see this on the big screen for their world premiere showing! I look forward to seeing these faces and names in future features - and I wish the whole team, cast & crew, wildly successful careers in the film industry!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Michael P This is a great movie. I love the story and the performances. An easy to watch and entertaining dramedy.
