The tranquility is accentuated by the soft murmur of voices, the sound of wind in the trees, and the natural-light cinematography. Unrest’s pastoral quality recalls mid-period Straub-Huillet films... Go to Full Review

walter k Jan 19 The film slowly wind its way along with the Anarchist movement and its impact on the precisely working machine of a watch factory in rural Switzerland. The depiction of the watch factory is done in a very realistic way showing how things really happened in the late 1800's watch factories. Fascinating for the few viewers who can appreciate its accuracy. The final scenes suggest that a romance had been building between it leading characters. All in all, a real gem See more Dani G 05/03/2024 Boring, to say the least. Not even a thing to say about it. All I wanted was to be finished See more Balachandran C 08/30/2023 The movie goes in a slow pace like a needle of a time machine. So we can touch the forwarding of a revolution which changes history. Beautiful movie. See more Celtic R 08/04/2023 This movie is a gem. It's about anarchy and anarchists but the movie goes beyond politics. Why and how do sensitive and intelligent people become anarchists? No bomb-throwing in this film and not much for theorizing. The movie is a gem and it's needed in the twenty-first century. Although it may take a few years for the movie to find its audience. Progress is possible. Keep moving along. See more Avindu G 07/16/2023 It's a tranquil tale about anarchism's historic existence. A portrayal how lush green of unspoiled nature and the silence of this rural Swiss community still being unable to diminish the sparks of revolutionary thought. The unjust dismissals , the collectivenes of society and solidarity that leaves room for debating thoughts pictures the possibility of an alternative schools of thought in the world even in a period of technical disadvantages. Great visuals brings meaningful value to every scene. Excellent dialogues and performances by the whole cast. It's a story that requires lot of patience but it's historic importance makes it worthy to watch. See more Read all reviews
