Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) You still have to sit through the young woman being viciously brutalized throughout the film. Sorry, I ain't gonna do it. Mar 15, 2023 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times A taut, inventive picture about two young Asian American women helping each other survive one terrible day. Mar 10, 2023 Full Review Niani Scott RogerEbert.com The futuristic aspect of a video call saving both characters is the movie's hook and insight, but it disguises a relatively generic, inconsistent plot with scattershot hot-button issues used instead of characters. Rated: 1/4 Mar 7, 2023 Full Review Samantha Schuster Cinéfilo Serial A simple and effective little thriller that manages to capture some attractive visual resources to support its story and make it as captivating as it is intense. [Full Review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Jul 18, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider In another filmmaker’s hands, Unseen might have been just a job, but Okumura directs with enough craft and intent to make a low-budget Blumhouse project a little more than just another forgettable thriller. Aug 8, 2023 Full Review Paul Lê Dread Central Thrillers like this are certainly not uncommon, however Okumura’s talent for finding and maintaining the story’s emotional epicenter as chaos routinely erupts is what makes the film both effective and gratifying. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/17/25 Full Review ChrisCSH H Unseen is it times a little bit unbelievable and ridiculously over the top, but it also has some entertaining and suspenseful moments throughout the film that make it an enjoyable watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/21/25 Full Review Ace R I didn't think that I was going to like this movie, but I really wrong. This is a great movie! It's full of action. It constantly keeps your attention, wondering what will happen next. You will find yourself drawn into it, rooting for the poor victims in this movie. The ending is fantastic too. I highly recommend that you see this movie! You won't regret you did. 👍😊 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/13/25 Full Review Ted B 3.0 stars; You have seen this Teenage Thriller many times. It might be a fun watch late at night for the teen set. Normally this would be worth 2 or 2 1/2 stars. But I have to admit that the plot concept is pretty original.... a blind girl coordinating with a caller using a phone's camera to escape a psycho. The characters were all pretty cliche but fit the plot perfectly. Ms's Purdy and Francis carried the plot and generated the lion's share of excitement and tension. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/27/25 Full Review Madlen A Season 2 is even better than season 1. Very cool series! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/25 Full Review Audience Member Not bad for a low budget kidnapping/stalker movie but if you like females screaming at each other over the phone for the entire movie then this is for you.
