Claudia Puig FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Follows several screwed up, trendy, aging hipster Angelenos who you really don't care about... It's awkwardly paced [and] the stories are wan. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Jordan Hoffman Times of Israel Untogether is a very poorly made film with no real conclusion, and does nothing to dispel the notion that sometimes wealthy people make movies just because they can, not because they should. Feb 8, 2019 Full Review Bilge Ebiri New York Magazine/Vulture If only the film itself were willing to be a little more untogether, to lose control occasionally and show us something new and unpredictable. Feb 8, 2019 Full Review Natasha Alvar MovieBabble It is a perfectly serviceable movie; a bunch of good-looking people adrift and looking to connect [...] I guess I just wish the movie had a bit more heart. Rated: B Mar 7, 2021 Full Review Matthew St. Clair Cinema Sentries Even if Untogether doesn't always come together, it still possesses hints of greatness. It's a solid directing debut from Emma Forrest and I'm curious to see what potential projects she does going forward. Oct 9, 2020 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall For a comedy, this is all rather grim, but it's also profound. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Salamon R A completely harmless movie. I was prepared for the absolute worst, based on some of these ratings, but its actually okay. Jemima Kirke and Jamie Dornan have great chemistry, and since its their story that carries most of the movie, I can't complain. There is also an interesting theme about the importance of the stories we tell - to ourselves and eachother, and I feel like that was delivered quite well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/05/24 Full Review Jennifer R S I don't know what to call it, but Andrea (Jemima Kirke) plays the evolved manic pixie dream girl. What happens when the MPDG grows up, decides to get clean and becomes more than one dimensional while still getting it wrong over and over- because that's being human? Bonus points for great soundtrack, subtle, hot-sex & Billy Crystal. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review David O What a disaster. Watching Kirke acting her way out of a paper bag. Credit to the bag for holding its own. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review cyngab j Beyond incoherent…a few tender moments and a few funny moments. This script needs to go a few rounds of editing to refine the storyline. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review tina m Technically done well with beautiful actors but I personally didn't get what was the point being made. It was like a collage that you put together to try to get a vague meaning. Perhaps I am old fashioned but I do best with a movie that has a story line I can find, and I didn't easily enough find a story from this movie. I guess I need things to be more obvious and redundant. It could be this movie is innovative and ahead of my time. There were a lot of daring new situations and dialogue between the characters that were the opposite of cliched that were portrayed. I was put off though by the full frontal nudity of one the female protagonists. I guess this is a new trend in movies, and perhaps a good thing to be actual. A moment of the movie that gave me a good laugh was Martin (Ben Mendelsohn's) awkward politeness on the subject of the holocaust. The nonjudgmental way he delivered those lines, with open naivete and good natured intentions was astounding. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review tom m A bit angsty, but okay. Moderately entertaining. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
