      Jack B It's one of those movies you want to FF through. You find yourself hoping no one is dumb enough to do in real life (all the while knowing there really are) to do what the characters in the movie did. SMH. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Elizabeth J Spoilers here! Excellent cinematography...... captured the beauty - and isolation - of the Maine woods. Acting very good; characters are believable, and their distress draws you in. However, ending is pathetic. There's no explanation for Mark's re-appearance nor for why Paul had to die and John become close to death. Is the 'adventure' some sort of test of their friendship? If so, it is sick. Is the fishing trip some sort of vengeance pursuit by Mark? If so, there is no MO for it. Ending is disappointing. Maybe the book explains.......
