You don’t watch V13 for narrative comfort. You watch it to be rattled. And in that, it succeeds. Go to Full Review

The prospect of Sigmund Freud taking on Adolf Hitler is a lot more enticing than what writer-director Richard C. Ledes offers in this tedious, stilted drama. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 31 V13 is a film that feels far longer than its actual runtime, largely because it relies almost entirely on dense, nonstop dialogue. While the movie isn’t technically long, the pacing makes it feel exhausting, as scene after scene unfolds in confined spaces with little visual variation. The heavy emphasis on conversation over action or progression causes the story to drag, leaving viewers impatient rather than intrigued. The director’s stylistic choices further slow things down. Frequent shifts between black-and-white sequences and historical moments seem designed to add weight, but instead they interrupt any momentum the film might build. Rather than deepening the narrative, these transitions make the experience feel disjointed and overly self-important. What’s disappointing is that this is the kind of film often praised during awards season despite being difficult to sit through. It feels crafted more for prestige than audience engagement. Beyond tedious, and so amateurishly put together it feels like an afterschool project by precocious teenage thespians. The concept had potential, but the execution rates an "F."
