John T One of my favorite movies. It's really dramatic and creepy and touching and even pretty funny, but definitely not a comedy; it should have never been marketed that way. More like a bizarre psychological study of how work and sex addiction courts madness. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review John S Good funny movie Can't believe this was the prequel to renfield Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Audience Member Campy Nic Cage perfection. You have to go into it knowing it’s over the top and appreciate that bizarre lunacy. Cracks me up every time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Chip C Cage should have won an Oscar for his performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review KerryWhite's S 5/10. 55/100. | One of the only performances where you can say it's both really good and really bad. 😅 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/24 Full Review Mark O After watching Renfield and seeing Cage play Dracula it's obvious he held back in this earlier Vampire role. Ty Burr Ty Burr's Watch List [Juggles] satire, goofball comedy, and unexpected human tragedy with an assurance that is as impressive as it is intentionally discombobulating. Rated: 3.5/4 May 10, 2023 Full Review Jake Cole Slant Magazine Think of Vampire’s Kiss as the screwy, punk flipside of American Psycho. Jun 20, 2022 Full Review Variety Staff Variety Problem is that Cage's over-the-top performance generates little sympathy for the character, so it's tough to be interested in him as his personality disorder worsens. Sep 16, 2008 Full Review Daniel Barnes Dare Daniel Cage makes more choices than E-40, all of them “Yup,” and the result is a feature-length supercut of classic Cage freakouts. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Rob Bricken io9.com The 1988 cult classic may feature Cage’s most unhinged performance, which is obviously saying something.
