And that's where Vanilla gets interesting, being less of a will-they-or-won't-they question of their relationship, but instead measuring a character's responses (and thus an audience's comfort) with dating a sex worker.

I really liked the movie's demeanor. Except the end was really depressing, as a lonely male. That said I had just gone through a break up when watching it. And so a sad ending was not great for me. But normally I'm very glad to see non-typical/predictable endings. I think it's a good movie. And I guess the ending wasn't all that depressing… Still some good messages there!
