Despite these shortcomings, the movie is overall good, and I would recommend watching it. He’s driving around, his eyes darting everywhere. The plot and story could’ve been good, but the ending feels forced. All in all, it’s okay, but boring. Exciting throughout, nice twist too See more Gabriel S @Sanarel Jul 20, 2024 Svaniti Nella Notte, or Vanished Into the Night, is a weak thriller that tries hard to be clever, but ends up shallow and uninteresting. The story follows Pietro, a father going through a difficult divorce, and with at debt with gamblers, that lost his children to kidnappers. To get them back, he has to pay the ransom. A simplistic plot that just does not work. The story lacks throwing interesting ideas, and even most of the movie is idleness and boringness. Then the midpoint throws a curveball: the kids are actually a-okay at their mother Elena's house. They know nothing about whatever happened, dismissing Pietro's inquiries as if he going insane. Elena herself has no recollection of them ever going with Pietro to his house in the first place. Such curveball could have been a great plot twist, but fret not, the story quickly overturns its own twist with another oversimplistic fact that explains what the hell is going on. The last events are about Pietro trying to get out of the mess he is in and acting revenge. Vanished Into the Night is below-average, at best. Though Riccardo Scamarcio's acting is up to standards, the stale storyline and non-sense twist is too much to bare. See more Read all reviews
