Vanished Into the Night is one of the more mediocre thrillers you will ever see. The plot is paper-thin, and the script is as shallow as the Trevi Fountain. Too bad no one made a wish to make a more competent film experience.

The movie basically follows the protagonist running around like he hasn’t eaten in a month, constantly looking like he’s about to trip and fall. He’s driving around, his eyes darting everywhere. The plot and story could’ve been good, but the ending feels forced. All in all, it’s okay, but boring.

Simply put one of the worst films ever made. The plot that a wife, so upset with her husband, plots to drug her own children and then implicate him in a drug smuggling conspiracy, is laughable. i) how did she get up the gravel path without making a noise ii) '' how did she get into the house, drug the children, get them out and then eacape without her husband knowing iii) why did the man give him £150.000 iv) why did the police do nothing about his boat v) what was the fight about ? v) I could go on and on. More holes than a sieve. Save yourself the time

First, they make an effort to create a mysterious thriller. The first half of the film is a laborious attempt to maintain the mystery. In the second half, they obviously lost interest. The twist comes much too early, and from then on, the movies dies painfully. The film simply doesn't do what Gone Girl did well.
