12/13/2015 Paramount utilized the all-star revue more than any other major studio, and VARIETY GIRL is yet another example; an adept mixture of a fictional plot twisted up with cameo appearances by actual studio stars. I guess partly because of De Kelley, who had a surprisingly large role even though his name was one of the last listed in the credits, while Bob Hope and Bing Crosby were barely in it and they were listed first.
