Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Writer-director Tom DeNucci, co-writer B. Dolan and a superb cast work hard to bring a fascinating, largely forgotten true story to life, though an inconsistent tone and an over-reliance on genre clichés keep the movie from realizing its potential. Jun 14, 2019 Full Review Justin Lowe The Hollywood Reporter If Palminteri ever gets another vehicle as suited to his talents as The Usual Suspects it'll be equally memorable, but this isn't it, evidenced by his laidback coasting through most of his scenes. Jun 14, 2019 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Some intriguing true-life source material and a gritty retro visual style are brushed aside in favor of genre clichés in this uneven heist thriller. Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Joey Magidson Hollywood News Despite the unusual setting and unlikely nature of its true story, "Vault" ends up treading very familiar territory. John D Good action and drama for a true story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/20/19 Full Review Farrell I like true stories and thought the acting was pretty good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/19 Full Review Audience Member Listen, if you are a fan of this genre and enjoy watching organized crime type movies...this is a solid watch. Bottom line, I would recommend for those who like these films...100%. You will be entertained. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Ted B 3 Stars; Two small time crooks make the Big Time when they successfully heist 30 million dollars From a bank Vault. At the time, it was the largest bank robbery In US history The only problem is the money belonged to the Mafia. This was certainly not the 1st time I've seen this plot. What was different was that this was a true story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie tries to be a movie like "Casino", "The Irishman", or even "The Godfather". Tries, but fails. It feels cringe and fake. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review bryan b Ocean # this is not. I guess in the 70s all you had to do to rob a vault was show up with a gun and a truck. You are not even sure who or why the crew is getting whacked until the end. Since this is supposedly a true story I guess you can give it a pass for being boring. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
