Franklin c @Franklin_club Dec 29 one of the most beautiful, yet tragic, docs See more Rachel S @neveradullmoment Dec 29 Veil of Tears deeply touched my soul. This documentary unveils the heartbreaking plight of millions of Indian women facing female infanticide, forced prostitution, dowry violence, and widow isolation—oppressions hidden behind cultural veils. Narrated gracefully by Natalie Grant, it shares raw testimonies of resilient women, blending tears with triumphs. I wept recognizing echoes of my family's whispers: the quiet endurance amid abandonment, yet clinging to dignity and faith. In the diaspora, this film bridged my heritage, honoring my late dadi's survival tales, while highlighting hope through organizations offering education, empowerment, and spiritual solace. More than a film, it's a call to empathy and action, celebrating the unbreakable spirit of Indian women. It instilled profound hope that silenced voices are rising and change is possible. If you connect to India or seek justice, watch it—it'll inspire healing and touch your heart. A true beacon of light. There are some movies where you wish you could help and try to make a difference. Well this doc gives you that opportunity to do just that. The website has more info on the film and it's film makers and Gospel For Asia who fronted this doc. This is one the best documentaries so far this early year. Do yourself a favor and see this movie. You won't look at India quite the same way ever again. See more Read all reviews
