A bartender (Matthew Modine) working his shift suspects that one of his customers may skip out without leaving a tip. He approaches the customer, Mr. White (Martin Landau), a drunk with an attitude, and proceeds to spin a story about two mob families, the Irish Mulroneys and the Italian Minettis. He claims that the families started their feud because of an insufficient tip. As Mr. White listens, the bartender throws some twists and turns into his increasingly comic tale.
