Visually striking but less compelling in its storytelling, Vesper offers a rich, immersive world and thoughtful concepts for those willing to invest their attention. The film features some highly creative special effects—both practical and digital—but sadly, the script doesn’t receive the same level of care or inventiveness as the film’s visual design.

Interesting take on post apocalyptic scenario. Like how the world was dead.. but also not because of all these like fungus and alien plants. Thought the robot and the father were a nice touch. Added to the dynamic and made the movie more entertaining than just watching a kid struggle to survive alone. World building was interesting, but I kind of wish they went into it more. I guess if this was a series it would make more sense. Kind of had a low budget feel but the computer generated scenes look really clean.

Odd, and I mean, I think I get it, dangers of Man trying to play God, humanity is irredeemable until it isn't, and I agree with both of those themes, I just don't think this was the best way to make those points and it was too boring to make up for it in the end. Also I found the plot twist with Camellia annoying, and I get that it was an integral part of the plot, but honestly I wish the plot had gone an entirely different direction after Camellia and her father crash-landed. I know the movie didn't have the budget for this, but the journey to the Citadel should have started 30-40 minutes in, not 10 minutes before the movie ended.
