sarah a I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I really don't understand the negative reviews. The acting was great in my opinion and had a brilliant strong female lead. Fantastic storyline and excitement throughout. This is the story of the true heir who has been deceived by a wicked uncle. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Story has promise even though it's getting generic by now. The pacing can be slow at times and acting for some characters is indeed subpar. The ending can be a cliffhanger which I don't think it will be resolved. Overall it felt like a low-budget film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I sat through this garbage pile because I believe low budget movies are in danger of extinction. However, if this is the byproduct of low budget movies then may I recommend opening hunting season. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm almost at a loss for words. I, hardly ever, give bad reviews, but this movie was atrocious. I get what they were going for, but it didn't quite hit the mark. Aside from the horrid acting, and the (more often than not) ridiculous costumes, they actually put makeup on the actors. I wasn't aware that Vikings wore lipstick. Lol. I was hoping for, at least, a SYFY channel, equivalent film. But, sadly, this was nowhere near that. Not even Terrance Stamp could save this atrocity...and I adore him. Pity. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A case of Viking Vomit splattered across the screen. An amazingly misplaced sex scene was the only surprise in this miserable movie of bloated battles, stilted speeches, and pointless parades of mugging extras, wriggling worm-like in their talentless tribe of trash. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the movie. When I read the description, I thought it was similar to a story my and my daughter's D&D characters are going through. After watching I thought, wow, it's a twisted version of our story. Nick Allen RogerEbert.com Pure to its junky intentions, if you like your movies served to you without confusion as to the character or their narrative arc, here it is: The destiny of a viking. Rated: 2/4 Oct 5, 2018 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times A bit of low-budget Nordic nonsense that only makes you appreciate the visual finesse and rowdy discipline of the History channel's "Vikings." Oct 4, 2018 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian This fantastically wooden and dodgily acted British Viking fantasy appears to be the result of its creators binge-watching Games of Thrones, although the battle scenes here are about as thunderous as a sparrow's fart. Rated: 1/5 Jul 27, 2018 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Several bloody battle sequences generally lack excitement and visual flair yet are far superior to the wooden dialogue and amateurish acting that bridge them together. Oct 5, 2018 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies Viking Destiny looks like a fairly cheap production ... That's forgivable, but there's no excuse for the story ... to possess the same sort of jury-rigged feel. Rated: 1/4 Oct 5, 2018 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Finds its own Valhalla to be more like Perdition -- a mediocre middle ground it's stuck in for all eternity.
