The film tells the unusual story of a young boy Viggo and a newcomer to town that he befriends called Vincent. Young Viggo has it hard. He is bullied at school and his parents are recently divorced. Nobody seems to understand his world view, except this charming but mysterious Vincent, who liberates him by bringing him on the road to sell ice cream. This new friendship leads to suspicion and even jealousy with Viggo's father, a local police officer under intense pressure to solve a nasty local murder. The father suspects Vincent as the perpetrator -- but the truth will reveal itself and it is stranger than anyone can imagine....
