Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse "Violent Virgin" does not offer any solutions or explanations, but definitely succeeds as an original exploitation film, that does not fail, however, to show the cinematic prowess of Wakamatsy and his crew. Mar 11, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Aaron W Everything I love about Wakamatsu. Insanity, jazz, sex, violence, and some of the most beautifully hypnotic cinematography you'll see. The story doesn't really matter, but rather the feeling and mood; restrained absurdism, like Yoshida with a touch of Jodorowsky. I love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/09 Full Review Eric R A cool film about a couple being brought out to the desert to be killed for disrespecting a mob boss of sorts. Its very strange, typically for Wakamatsu, The switching of the aesthetic from black & white to color worked very effectively in getting us into the characters point of view. I dont really know hwo to put this film into words, but I loved it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/08 Full Review Read all reviews
