Anthony T Comedy is so subjective but this is definitely my bag :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review yash b Vir Das' newest special, "Landing," is among the best I have seen in a long time. There are hilarious jokes throughout boosted by insightful commentary and great storytelling. I was engaged with the comedy special throughout and thought it ended in a spectacular and heartfelt way that made me want to rewatch it immediately. I've been a fan of every Netflix special thus far but I think this one might be the most meaningful and well-made one yet. In fact, I would go as far as saying that specials like this are why I consider stand-up comedy to be an art form and I think it is among my all-time favorite comedy specials the more I think about it. Rohan Naahar The Indian Express Balancing incisive cultural observations with broad sentimentality, India's biggest comedy export, Vir Das, continues to elicit giggles and gag-orders. Dec 31, 2022 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider As a comedian who feels he neither fits in his native India or here in the United States, that feeling of being on the outside looking in actually makes Das a more memorable and valuable comedian for both worlds. Dec 29, 2022 Full Review Clare Martin Paste Magazine The special works, though, when Das sticks to the power of a microphone and what drew him to comedy in the first place. He can be a little self-aggrandizing, but it’s also artfully done and, ultimately, earned. Rated: 7.8/10 Dec 29, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
