Audience Member Moss is carrying a child that's the product of a rape she doesn't remember. Being from a religiously weird family, she decides to claim that it is God's child. Weird ending...super weird. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It's hard to believe Elisabeth Moss could agree to be in such a bad movie. I can't fathom how stupid the screenplay is. It's an interesting concept with almost no good dialogue or direction. Feels like very little thought was put into developing the concept past a "thats a cool idea." Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A very interesting idea, told very poorly. The lack of any believable characters or dialogue kills the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member It's wierd but couldnt help to keep watching it! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Only about 1/2 way through the movie and I'm not sure what I think. The camera angles are nauseating and the acting subpar. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This is not an easy movie to watch, but it's good. Depressing, yes. Disturbing, definitely. But it's also very eye-opening. I recommend seeing this at least once. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The more you consider the theological undertones of Virgin, the more radical it becomes. Rated: 3/4 Jan 7, 2005 Full Review Charles Ealy Dallas Morning News As a religious-themed movie, Virgin is as unconventional as they come. Rated: B Oct 21, 2004 Full Review Wesley Morris Boston Globe So much of Virgin is bunk masquerading as sexual politics. And yet it remains quite a powerful experience. Rated: 3/5 Feb 11, 2005 Full Review Marc Mohan Oregonian Moss' performance is solid, but undone by the palsied hand-held camerawork and the script's general lack of focus.
