01/21/2015 As expected this is some pretty weird stuff from Warmerdam. The plot is in short about a 31 year old guy that never has left home. He is pretty weird, but he tend to act retarded when he get's uncomfprtable outside his house. He also tries to cut flies in half with a scissor - it's his main hobby. The serious tone are completing the atmosphere - absurd and strange. The film looks pretty nice, it's well acted and it's a fun ride. Is not screaming "LOOK AT ME!", and that's something I don't like. After a while it get's more interesting. We get a great fish-eating scene and some smaller scenes I dig. The short escalotor-scene is great to name another. There are cool music as well. A fun, wild ride that's for everyone into something different. 8 out of 10 herrings.
