Synopsis
Though Senka Laushkin (Oleg Yelykomov) couldn't care less about the opinions of his alcoholic father, Yuri (Yuri Tsapnik), the impoverished boy will do anything to please his older brother, aspiring punk rocker Kostya (Konstantin Kinchev) -- even if it means stealing a synthesizer. With the encouragement of their band teacher (Mikhail Parfyonov), the scrappy Laushkin brothers nurture futile dreams of musical stardom, while stirring up teenage trouble in glasnost-era St. Petersburg, Russia.
