On New Year's Eve in 1944, fighter pilot Mike Clarke (Andrew Keegan) wagers Al Capone's nephew that he can shoot down five enemy aircraft. Before Mike can fill his quota, he becomes stranded in a remote Irish village. There, the fighter pilot enters into a battle of a different kind when he meets a fiery lass named Maggie (Jade Yourell).

Audience Member I liked everything about the movie except Keegan, which was bad since he was the lead. A quaint story of two Allied pilots crashing in Ireland, meeting a German, and persuading him to let them shoot him down so they can be aces, while finding love. Stereotypical depiction of country Irish, almost to the extreme. Quite funny except the drinking deception went to far. The lead characters start liking each other rather quickly, and talking about marriage even moreso. I thought the girl who played Maggie was adorable. Andrew Keegan is handsome but that's about all he has going for him here. If you have absolutely nothing to do, if you have a thing for the Irish accent and beautiful landscape, if you don't mind a romcom with little laughs, then watch this.
