Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com Once this frothy French romance evolves into a more serious drama, it turns turgid, causing a jarring tonal shift. Rated: 2/4 Sep 2, 2022 Full Review Josh Kupecki Austin Chronicle Waiting for Bojangles exists to merely further romanticize mental illness as just another characteristic of being a free spirit, just too good for this world. She ain’t heavy, she’s just quirky. Rated: 2/5 Sep 1, 2022 Full Review Calum Marsh New York Times The film’s vision of a life of immeasurable joy and passion — one lived solely for love, without limits or qualifications — is beautiful and, for this critic and helpless romantic, powerfully intoxicating. Sep 1, 2022 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com This movie stays with you, and stays with you in a good way. Rated: 8/10 Sep 12, 2022 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Mesmerizing from start to finish. Rated: 10/10 Sep 8, 2022 Full Review Filipe Freitas Always Good Movies This fiction paints an eccentric and sensitive portrait of the family, and goes deeper than what it seems. But there’s a strong sense of deja-vu along the way, especially regarding the tone. Rated: 3/5 Sep 8, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Stuart W Have never seen a French movie like this. Wonderfully acted especially the little boy/son. Depressing. Insight into mental illness (manic depression) and the horrors of 1960 French mental institutions. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/07/22 Full Review Michele The acting was superb! 'Camille' of course, but also all supporting characters, including that amazing young boy who played 'Gary'. The film's subject and screenwriting touched me deeply, as my mother had a mental illness (not bipolar) so I could understand 'Camille' and 'Gary' in varying ways. A close friend of mine is bipolar, so again, I felt drawn in to see life from the protagonist's perspective. I laughed and cried throughout the whole movie! Incredibly brave and brilliantly executed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/05/22 Full Review Carolina C loved everything about it!! Great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/04/22 Full Review Cindy Moving, beautifully crafted film. A classic with a beautiful music score Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/22 Full Review Helene V I have seen bad movies in my life but why this pretentious, endless, vapid exercise in futility has been exported to the US is beyond me. Really if this is the future of French cinema there is reason to worry. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/22 Full Review Read all reviews
