This film hinges on one inept joke: Good girls act appropriately, and all others are whores. Seriously, that out of date set of gender politics frames this entire film, and spawns most of the jokes as well. Elizabeth Banks is giving it her all here, but it's hard to work with such a piteous script and this inept direction. The little that is good about this film relies in the great chemistry between Banks and Marsden, who seem to have a rock solid attraction, though formulaic in its approach. Nobody saw this film; nobody bought it, lent it to a friend, or talked about it outside of berating its creators and stars. Not only does this film suck, but it's detrimental to women for its sexist depiction of them, and blatant sexualization as well. Please don't see this film. No good will come of it.

A formulaic goofball comedy, Walk of Shame goes for cheap laughs. Elizabeth Banks stars as a news anchor who, after having a one-night stand, ends up stranded in a strange part of town and leaves a wake of chaos and destruction as she tries to make her way back home. The plot couldn't be more cliched if it tried, and all of the characters are stereotypes of one sort or another. Banks gives a decent performance and is fairly charming, but her role isn't a very demanding one. Walk of Shame is a lazy and generic film whose humor is tired and worn out.

Undoubtedly funny with a total performance from Elizabeth Banks, 'Walk of Shame' have all the potential to rise but too bad they pick the wrong release date by competing Spiderman.. Although I like it, I definitely agree that this is a 'good DVD watch' movie, not the one that you expect to see in theaters..

Elizabeth Banks is one of those actresses that is just likeable. She has that quality where you just watch her movies, and like her. Here she is the star as a news anchor who has a one night stand, then her car is towed. She has to travel through the worst parts of town to get to the biggest job opportunity of her life. Are there cliches? Yup, through the whole thing. But it's funny, and one of those good nature comedies that in a few years will be on FOX and you'll chill out to watch because you didn't love it, but liked it. Banks is great, and the rest of the cast do good. It tries to be outrageous, but it's very tame compared to most comedies these days. Really reminded me of "Adventures in Babysitting" only without the kids, or babysitting. If that makes any sense. Anyway, worth a watch!
