Sarah Manvel Critic's Notebook 05/06/2022
Better acting would have distracted from the weaknesses of the script; and a better script would have enabled stronger acting. It’s really irritating, as there’s hints of a smarter, sexier movie in here. Go to Full Review

And while the film's title suggests something of a leisurely stroll, Walk with Me winds up feeling more like a plodding hike. Go to Full Review

Sara P Sep 30 I thought it was a good movie. I loved the story line. I am so happy it was a happy ending.😊 See more Sean S Sep 21 While some of the criticisms are of course fair, there are too many lovely things about this romance to not watch if you are a fan of love. This must be based on actual lives somewhere. I strongly appreciate the idea of this type of love story, against certain odds, might develop organically. I liked it despite the flaws. See more daisey a Aug 14 I love this movie it's my favorite movie and just in the last month I've watched it over 30 times literally no joke I loved everything about it felt all the emotions and I've still been trying to find another movie that I can watch that is as good as that one but I can't I hope there's another one See more John O 08/10/2023 Spoilers: Thought it was heading for just another B, at best, movie, the gals would prompt divorced meany hubby to charge bad parenting, take the kid in an unbalanced court system, yada yada. It was a bit more than that. These were writers, producers on a quest for something big, who may have stumbled along the way. Something like changing societal mores amongst the generations, and my proclivities for a sexual partner surprised me as it transgressed the line of previous heterosexuality. It ended up with a nice neat reproachment with Amber and Mummy, as well as the same with Amber and Logan, whose bluesy, folksy singing voice and guitar playing were nice. Hey, who doesn't like a movie with a happy ending? But when Logan runs away from Amber, and Amber runs back to Logan, not vice versa, what could go wrong? What's to say Logan isn't going to run again? Feelings, wo, wo, wo, wo, wo, feelings. Calling Dear Abby. Or Dr. Freud (Tell me about your muzzah.) See more Judith F 12/10/2022 It's 2022. A better movie was made about coming out in 1985–Desert Hearts. The difference? The acting. Helen Shaver and Patricia Charboneau made me believe in the experience they were sharing with us on screen. Walk With Me lacked that level of acting and commitment (takes acting chops and commitment for two straight actresses to pull off a lesbian love story). It's a shame because I was really hoping this movie would succeed. See more 05/08/2022 It's really hard to put into words but I can say for sure, I plain love this film. Considered it's an independent film with a corresponding low budget it's incredible what they created. So refreshing to see a lesbian romance without the unreal dramas we have to endure in other lesbian movies. This has been for a loooooong time the first romantic movie (gay as well as straight couples) I watched in full, where in other movies I usually have to skip over scenes that are just too unreal or even plain ridiculous, this movie tied my eyes from the first to the last second to the screen, only the end feels like a rough cut at a point where I would have wanted to see at least a few more minutes of happiness.
