Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com An overly familiar story of fathers and sons, of cycles of abandonment and years of pent-up resentments, without any fresh insight. Rated: 1.5/4 May 8, 2020 Full Review Clement Tyler Obropta Film Inquiry Wright's film is remarkably poignant. It's a nice, warm salve of a movie, a charming indie gem about the things in life you can't run away from and the giants you have to topple to become your own person. May 14, 2021 Full Review Hunter Lanier Film Threat I like to imagine that throughout the process of making any movie, everyone involved is fully convinced they're making a good movie. But with Walkaway Joe, I can't imagine that's possible. Rated: 2/10 May 27, 2020 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... a well-intentioned glimpse into both the fragility and necessity of father-son relationships that's ultimately more predictable than profound. anthony I Story slow and a little far fetched but I enjoyed it. Actually I've watched it 4times. I have a choice of 40 premium channel plus recent movies. I've still choose to watch this movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/20/23 Full Review Tyler D Possibly the most predictably boring film iv ever seen Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review Jelisije J A movie that is about the trials of the relationships between fathers and sons that left me wanting more at the end of the day. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a very heartwarming and must see movie. It's so realistic and genuine that you feel like you're watching a real life story of a strained relationship between father and son. If you want a heartfelt story, this is definitely the movie for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Worth a watch, but barely. Simple. Brushes along and needed another 30 minutes of run time to develop the characters and relationships. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Wife and I really enjoyed this movie. Big fans of JDM and David Strathairn and a pool movie to boot! Quick, enjoyable watch on a Saturday Night. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
