The plucky characters from a series of animated shorts, Wallace (Peter Sallis) and his dog, Gromit, make their feature debut here. After starting a pest control business, the duo soon lands a job from the alluring Lady Tottington (Helena Bonham Carter) to stop a giant rabbit from destroying the town's crops. Both Wallace and the stuffy Victor (Ralph Fiennes) vie for the lady's affections. If Wallace wants to please his pretty client, and best Victor, he needs to capture that pesky bunny.

J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The Warners-style slapstick and gentle Anglophilia charms children and adults alike... Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Marc Lee Daily Telegraph (UK) The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, featuring his heroic man-and-dog duo, Wallace and Gromit, is Park at his sublimely silly best. Rated: 4/5 Dec 26, 2013 Full Review Richard Corliss TIME Magazine The final work justifies every meticulous, monastic, masochistic effort. Sep 1, 2008 Full Review Diane Carson KDHX (St. Louis) The story moves quickly, as animated films must, entertaining adults as well as children with its layers of meaning and mischief. Oct 29, 2024 Full Review Mat Brunet AniMat's Review (YouTube) Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is not only among the best stop motion animated films, but also one of the greatest animated features ever. Rated: 10/10 Oct 14, 2022 Full Review Kathi Maio The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a traditional cartoon, full of puns and pratfalls, fever-pitched chases, and generally goofy goings-on. It is also gloriously traditional in terms of its stop-mo production values. Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Jadan S A timeless classic for all ages. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Andrew K Loved it. Very funny! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/02/21 Full Review MrEpic 1 A stop motion classic! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/24 Full Review Anderson O Fun and simple in concept, but imaginative, clever, and stylish for claymation! The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is in a class by it’s self and great storytelling, character interactions and buildup to an interesting finale of hunting for were-rabbits to prevent the town crop from being eaten. High recommended for even any first timers of Wallace & Gromit. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Jay W Aardman animation is a delightful animation studio. In a way, you can thank the critical success of Aardman's previous movie, "Chicken Run" for the creation of the Best Animated Picture Oscar. Previous to this film, the studio had already won 3 Oscars for Best Animated Short, and with this film they scored another win for Wallace and Gromit. As a whole, I don't think this film is the best example of the comedic duo, but their charm is still undeniably on display. It is a good introduction to horror for little kids, nothing too frightening but still spooky. The animation is painstakingly handcrafted, and that effort shines through in the final product. What holds me back from rating this film any higher comes from the story being very predictable. Even when I first watched the film, I could see any "twist" coming from a mile away. The story becomes pretty repetitive and formulaic. By the ending, I was waiting for the movie to wrap things up. This is an unfortunate side effect of having a duo known for their shorts, when they have a feature length production, it feels longer than it should be.
