michael t A great movie this is not, but it was amusing, and silly. Brooke Shields was cute in this and was the main reason I watched it. Peter Fonda was not much of an actor here. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. There is some weird tension around her being the object of men's attention when she was only 14, but there are no suggested sexual encounters. In the story she was an orphan who had to fend for herself from a young age and so had to grow up fast. You get a sense of the tone of the movie in the first few minutes, so you can decide if you want to stick it out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting to watch to see Brooke Shields acting as a 14 yr old and Peter Fonda in a scene with his famous dad. The story is a little far-fetched with an Apache ghost killing people, and a gunfight with 100 rounds shot off, and nobody hurt. I suppose if you are writing a fantasy, you can make it as silly as you want. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Inconsequential western comedy. Set in the 1950s, Peter Fonda plays a con man of sorts who a teenage Brooke Shields attaches herself to and in Fonda's schemes to find a hidden gold mine. A few western veterans show up like Luke Askew, Paul Fix and even Fonda's dad Henry in unrecognizable make-up, although his voice is infinitely recognizable. Written and directed by Peter Fonda, I think my main issue with the film was that Shields' character was just thoroughly annoying. There may have been a nice story in here somewhere, but I just kept thinking that Fonda should be working harder to kick her character to the curb. Meh. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review ashley h Wanda Nevada is a disappointing film. It is about a drifter named Beaudray Demerille who wins a young orphan named Wanda in a poker game. Peter Fonda and Brooke Shields give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Peter Fonda also did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie moves slow and goes nowhere. (There are some cameos of Paul fix and Henry Fonda) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member love this movie!!! <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
