Gary D Well made British Suspense Movie. Interesting story, and well acted. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review Audience Member I love this film and the music in it, l lwould love to read the novel. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Watched on the Talking Pics channel. Overall a disappointing film. Eric Portman is an old school stiff upper lip actor, which nowadays cones across as somewhat wooden. Nice little cameo from Wilfred Hyde White. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Psychological thriller, co-written by Emeric Pressburger; it kinda sorta presages "Peeping Tom." (Okay, it's a bit of a stretch... but it does.) The ending is rather abrupt, I wanted more time to suffer with the condemned man. I love watching Eric Portman's face. Lately when I watch older movies shot on location, I tend to spend half the time looking at the streets and the clothes and the public transport. And the hats. Great hats. (Especially Dulcie Gray's "toy hat" in the first scene.) I think I'll go on an Eric Portman spree now. Good for a movie of this genre and time period. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
