Audience Member Some movies have far better place in memory born out of experiences in some other times and should not be re-lived. Waqt is one such movie: perhaps deeply flawed even by the standards of 1960s too. The movie that possibly pioneered the multi-starrer, lost and found tales that Manmohan Desai championed for the following three decades. Overall, even the songs are not as great as one may feel based on reputation. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Yash chopra magic... jo bhi hai bas yahi ek pal hai... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A classic...and what a star cast..with some superb songs...love it every time I watch it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member B.R. Chopra and Yash Chopra combination. Great star-cast and fantastic acting by all the male and female leads. I recommend this movie for anyone who likes to watch classics with listenable dialogues, no abuses given to mothers and sisters which are considered cool nowadays. great styling, hummable songs :) Raaj Kumar was brilliant in the movie and I found Sunil Dutt's role as lawyer likeable, can not remember much of Shashi kapoor though. P.S: I saw this movie on Doordarshan on a lazy Sunday afternoon, totally loved it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review flixster f It might have worked its charm in its time, but I wonder how far it would have been successful these days around (despite of the popular banner, director and long list of star cast attached to it). The movie was literally a PITA, thanks to its lengthy run-time which not only was intolerable but also unnecessary. Probably it was rule of thumb for Bollywood movies in those days. Otherwise, the movie should have been 90 minutes long maximum including the songs (wasn't aware that "Ae meri zohra jabeen..." was a part of this movie). The songs were used as the fillers for most of the part, but I'm glad that I'd the FF option handy. But even after skipping all those unwanted parts, I wasn't satisfied with what little (family and courtroom) drama the movie had to offer. I'm sure you'll find loads of better "lost and found" flicks. Better let this one be lost.
