Stephen Holden New York Times The movie isn't so much dumb as it is irresponsible. Oct 29, 2019 Full Review Variety Staff Variety Despite its interesting depiction of modern Indian life, War Party is basically just another pursuit movie, no better or worse than the average. Oct 29, 2019 Full Review Jack Yeovil Empire Magazine War Party would obviously dearly love to be a serious film. Rated: 2/5 Oct 29, 2019 Full Review TV Guide Staff TV Guide The film closes on a highly moralistic note, but many viewers may not make it through enough of this bloody film to get to Roddam's didactic message. Audience Member Peggy Lipton has been in some really dark movies like this & Kinjite. This movie has some really cool lo-fi kill scenes like shooting an arrow through a pilots neck forcing his plane to crash killing the passenger & a dying Native American lying on a funeral pyre pretending he is gone to ambush a master tracker from a different tribe shooting him in the eye giving his friends a better chance of escape. It would've been very brutal if they showed the young Indian getting scalped by a angry gang of wht supremacists & law enforcement & their kids. i really liked how all the young Native kids all got killed by military troops at the end. i really like this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Very entertaining movie well acted and good script well worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review william s I was surprised how much I liked this movie.....just a good action thriller with a bit of a Thelma and Louise ending all to my chagrin. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this when I was a kid. A reenactment lead by aggression and want to be hero's takes a war party chased by local vigilantes into the mountains where history rewrites itself. Alcohol and jealousy infused min to min. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Waaaaay underrated!! I didn't get my hopes up for this movie because it seems like whenever I do I end up being disappointed but it was pretty good so if you have a chance to watch it, I'd tell you to go for it.I didn't really get into it until after what happened at the re-enactment & I thought what kind of idiot brings an actual weapon to a battle re-enactment?!! After that I was hooked Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
