And a few rare instances when exceptional people rise up beyond the limits of what it is possible to accomplish as a human being, to become known as legends. How can anybody, you may ask, possibly walk proud and fearless right before the enemy that betrayed, tortured and humiliated them - and that is more than capable of wiping out all their people in an instant? Bodicca shows us all how. The film provided a portrayal of Bodicca that was inspiring, a documentation at the suffering of the Iceni - one that mirrors that of many persecuted and extinct tribes - that was humbling, and a look into the past that was eye-opening. See more 12/31/2013 Excellent Celts vs Romans war movie with some very strong actresses in the cast. See more 04/09/2013 Somewhat silly tv adaptation of the life of Boudicca. The British are way too good and the Romans alternate between idealistic Claudius and clownishly evil Nero. It's a very fake dichotomy, made worse by the attempts to show that her opponent Suetonius respects her. It isn't accurate and much more importantly it feels false. The attempt to give this film a "happy" ending is laughably confusing. See more 07/20/2011 WEAK.
