War is of course the primary cause of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Yet it's hardly treated as a side effect.

Powerful and important. War and Glory should never be spoken in the same breath. These folks deserve whatever help they need at the Gov? Expense, it's truly the LEAST we can do.

A fascinating look at PTSD throughout the years. Depressing and inspiring at the same time. We need to help our vets when they return and try to resume their lives. It's great to be patriots and wave the flag when wars start and to cheer when we say "mission accomplished," but it's an even better measure of our love of country as we work quietly and individually to help these heroes do the difficult work of dealing with the demons of war when they come home.

This documentary is well worth seeing. With all the advances we have made technically in waging war, PTSD remains as the same real issue as it ever was. How does one erase the memory, knowledge of the carnage of war? How does one go back to their non-warring civilian life with the stain of war on their hands? I guess if you have no conscience it would make it easier.
