Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times A quintessential L.A. story that is worth seeing for what it has to say, if not necessarily for how it says it. May 5, 2014 Full Review Matthew Lickona San Diego Reader The mystical-mythical narration of this 'story of fathers, sons, and holy ghosts,' courtesy of a wheelchair-bound chronicler, serves as a constant reminder of the stagy source. S. Convoluted and silly. Water & Power, really? Not much of a plot. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/24 Full Review Audience Member This is just a very uninteresting film. It wants to be a lot of things so badly and is trying so hard to be hip deep and relevant that it fails on all fronts. Nearly impossible to take seriously from beginning to end. Very disappointed in this movie. The thing is, it's not a bad idea for a film. The brothers' relationship is one that's been explored in other movies and works. In this one however, the direction was given that there would be nothing given to the audience to tell us why it is deep other than vacant expressions from the cast. Boring and confusing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Limited audience appreciation. otherwise, made okay, he could have done much better. Very east LA.
