Carlos Aguilar RogerEbert.com [We Are Living Things offers] a truly original angle on tropes associated with immigrant stories. Rated: 3/4 Aug 12, 2022 Full Review Austin Considine New York Times Tibaldi and his co-writer, Àlex Lora, do much with little, and one is likely to finish with more questions than resolutions — fitting for a film about various forms of alien life. Aug 11, 2022 Full Review Nuha Hassan Nuha Hassan (Medium) If these troubled sequences were handled sensitively and the themes were explored properly, perhaps We Are Living Things could have left viewers with one message: everyone needs to be treated equally. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Julian Roman MovieWeb We Are Living Things follows a dark and eerie journey into the mysteries of human attachments. The film exquisitely fuses noir and science fiction elements to establish a dangerous yet beguiling mood. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 12, 2022 Full Review Chris Knight National Post There’s more than a little of Close Encounters’ DNA in We Are Living Things, a low-key drama about two people searching for a truth they know is out there. Rated: 3/5 Aug 12, 2022 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Well-shot and refreshingly understated, but lethargic, underwhelming and ultimately less than the sum of its parts.
