Audience Member This is a truly amazing documentary and the birth, development(and death) of Latin Boogaloo in New York City. It traces its origins in the 60's to it's unceremonious demise at the end of the decade. Pretty much everything you need to know about this exiting sub-genre of afro-latin music and the background that propelled it is encapsulated here. The many artists that were responsible for bringing the joy and fun of latin Boogaloo are highlighted in this very effective and very musical documentary. Great insight into the behind the scenes of what went on during the time. I will dare anyone not to want to bust some Boogaloo dance moves after watching this most excellent film. This was the soundtrack of my childhood and how wonderful to see Joe Battan,Johnny Colon,Pete Rodriguez,Tito Ramos. The interviews with them as well as Larry Harlow,Richie Ray,Felipe Luciano,Aurora Flores are insightful and informative. Absolutely loved this very cool and exiting film. You will too.
