Critics Consensus

We Summon the Darkness makes the most of its rather pedestrian plot with palpable affection for genre formula, an appealing cast, and a sharp sense of humor.

We Summon the Darkness is a wickedly funny and delicious piece of genre cinema. It's a horror film that doesn't necessarily aim to scare or terrorise us but to take us on a gnarly rollercoaster ride along with its doomed characters. Go to Full Review

Jason W Oct 6 This was fun and blended horror and thrills with humor well. Good twists, great cast. See more Orlando C @orrman Feb 18 And you couldn't just go out to the perfectly functional sheriff's car with the keys probably in it (or on his body)? It's like that GEICO Hallowen commercial with the teenagers running into the the chainsaw shack and one of the girls imploring, "Why don't we get into the running car?" Eye-rolling inducing kind of movie. But two strong stars for the closing credits song Heart and Soul by T'Pau. You know I was singing along - A little bit, little bit!
