Extremely sad, yet eye-opening—a must-see to remember what happened, as much of the world seems to keep forgetting. Somehow, we all get caught up in the moment and don’t do all of our homework. This is one of many tragedies that fade from the collective memory of many educated people, along with Ukraine, Sudan, Afghanistan, and others. We quickly move on, point fingers, or look the other way when we feel uncomfortable and want to blame someone else. It’s important that we never forget the Holocaust—and now, October 7th.

Such a tragedy to see so many young lives lost to such barbarity. The courage of those that sacrificed themselves to save their friends and complete strangers moved me to tears. The stories from the survivors were shocking and heart breaking. Their stories from that tragic event had helped me appreciate my life even more. May the memories of those that lost their lives be a blessing.

It is one of the most haunting yet essential documentaries I’ve seen in a long time. It doesn’t just tell the story of the brutal massacre it really puts you in the shoes of the survivors, the families, and the community that was shattered by the terror of October 7. The way the documentary handles the trauma especially the horrifying accounts of violence against women is raw. It’s not sensationalized, but it is disturbing, as it should be. These stories need to be told, and this film does so with courage and clarity. I walked away with tears, anger, but also deep respect for the resilience of the people and the message of defiance in the face of hate: “We will dance again.” Please watch it, even if it’s hard. Especially because it’s hard.

Not really sure why this is necessary, one can imagine what it was like, didn't care for the dramatization of it, with the music and whatnot, but it memorializes the victims and makes them human instead of just hurt things.
