Bilge Ebiri Spirituality & Health Its playful title notwithstanding, Weed the People is a tough watch-but it's definitely worth sticking with it. Mar 23, 2020 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Beyond its plea for research, the documentary is largely hopeful, but for balance could include more anecdotes and details of when the treatment doesn't have the desired results. Nov 2, 2018 Full Review John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Though the film seems pretty thoroughly convinced on this topic, its main argument should ring true even for skeptics: We won't know the answers if, thanks to the drug's Schedule I status in the US, scientists remain unable to study its effects. Oct 24, 2018 Full Review David Lamble Bay Area Reporter Just when you thought there was nothing remaining to say about marijuana, docmaker Abby Epstein brings us the stories of cancer patients and their families struggling against cruel, archaic laws... Jun 12, 2020 Full Review Hayden Cornmell Nonfics A wonderfully empathetic look at the ongoing medical marijuana debate. May 14, 2019 Full Review Jeanne Kaplan Kaplan vs. Kaplan WEED THE PEOPLE is a powerful advocate for, if nothing more, the need for research. Oct 26, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

georgan g Only complaint is there was no resources listed. There are plenty of cancer (and other) patients who are ready, but don't know where to go for more info on treatment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's one thing to read studies showing medical marijuana may help cancer patients. It's an entirely different thing seeing children affected by cancer and the parents desperately willing to try anything to keep their loved ones. This documentary shines a positive light on a federally illegal schedule 1 drug. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Everything in this film is pretty much correct, except when they state that medicinal marijuana is not addictive and doesn't lead to opioid dependence. If you're going to try to make a fact-based film, make sure you don't get sidetracked by your political bias. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is going to help change the world for the healthier!! Legalize cannabis NOW!
