Despite Brenda Song doing her best to salvage the film with her performance, everything else fell very flat from several questionable aspects, the underwhelming story and writing that had relied a lot on stereotypes and tropes that would not age very well to this day.

A film with a crescendo like plot leading to a fast pace and action pack ending. While all this is great its what is in the middle that really succeeds from character depth, heart, culture discovery etc.
