On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader's life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic--a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Werewolf By Night is a howling good time and perfect for the Halloween season. Giacchino’s debut is certainly one of the strongest and most visually distinct of the recent MCU outings, laying the exciting groundwork for a new corner of the universe.

This does a great job of embracing everything that people love about marvel movies and mashes it with a love for classic horror movies from a bygone era. It also helps that the cgi and acting are all pretty good, and the werewolf itself manages to look cool as a classic looking werewolf as well as a believably scary monster in a modern lens.

Werewolf by Night (2022) The Monsters and the Bloodstone (12,030 – 01 Nov 2025– by Claudio Carvalho) When Ulysses Bloodstone dies, his widow Verussa (Harriet Sansom Harris) gathers several monster hunters to dispute who will be the next keeper of the Bloodstone. Among them, there are the unknown Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal) and Ulysses’ estranged daughter Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly). But soon, Elsa learns that Jack is not interested in the Bloodstone but in saving the monster and they team up. “Werewolf by Night” (2022) is a funny and entertaining adventure by Marvel with the hero Jack Russell. The black and white cinematography is stylish and unfortunately the adventure is only 52 minutes running time. Anyway, it is highly amusing and worthwhile watching. My vote is seven. I really enjoyed rewatching Werewolf by Night on Disney Plus: fun, thrilling and entertaining. It is a love letter to the Universal Monster movies of the 1930s and 1940s.

Quite good. The acting from the actors playing the main characters (Jack and Elsa) makes it even better. Great writing. Once it’s colorized at the end, it looks like a 60s horror movie.

Marvel should do more of these. It's a great way to introduce new characters instead of recycling the same ten or so. It's long enough that you can get to know the characters but short enough that Marvel can't ruin it.
