Chris T West Coast desi "Coming to America" hits almost all the right notes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review naour m I gave it a high rating because I understand and see myself in Sajid. Both distant from a culture but also long for it. Such a great movie. Would reccomend Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/23 Full Review Asim B Ignore non-paki low rating reviews. I think writer's target audience was only Pakis and English. The story of this movie truly dipicts emotions of overseas paki father. Terrific performance by Sajid, peer ji and specifically Mr Om Puri, who put life in characterof Jehangir Khan... performance, picturisation , music.. everything was fantastic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/22 Full Review Audience Member It would have been more convincing if it had been filmed in Pakistan. Found too many inaccuracies to find it believable. Sajid was the only convincing Pakistani. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I want an hour and 42 minutes of my life back Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review zapata l While the first movie is original, honest and has an important message, this second movie unfortunately feels like an unwarranted apology for the "offence" the first movie might have caused. Incredibly predictable, unfunny with the "let's make up and be happy everyone" tone of a Disney kid movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express West Is West is drippy, but a still watchable sequel, in which the returning Jahangir-George [Khan] is re-united, temporarily, with a lost vantage. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 2, 2019 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator This film has no real purpose in and of itself, or none that I can think of, and simply exploits what residual affection you might have for the original. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Rick Groen Globe and Mail It takes some getting used to, but be patient: Within the madness, there's definitely a method, and rewards for the reaping. Rated: 3/4 Mar 25, 2011 Full Review Alistair Lawrence Common Sense Media Committing to too many storylines, West Is West is forced into a rushed final act that has a glut of neat conclusions that often spring up out of nowhere. Rated: 2/5 Jun 26, 2023 Full Review Mohammad Mirbashiri emel The serious issues faced by the British-Asian community are sad and moving, but nonetheless witty screenwriting catches the hilarity of subtle nuances of both English and Pakistani culture. Jul 21, 2021 Full Review Sophie Kingston-Smith CineVue Khan-Din and DeEmmony don't seem to have gelled harmoniously on this project, as its message and its motives feel confused.
