Mrs C The people in this film are so nasty and crass. Seems more like the deep south instead of San Diego based on redneck behavior. Idk what film the other reviewers watched. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Lorenzo P "What's my name again" exists in a world that has a clear and specific Identity. Writer/Director Spencer Zender efficaciously creates a narrative rhythm and pacing that take us straight back to mid-eighties California, the setting for Bo.. (enter correct family name)'s coming of age journey to self-discovery. Newcomer Ryan Winn nicely captures and carries the emotional essence of the lead character, making him relatable in spite of his own sometimes questionable behavior, as do best friend Griff (Nick Shultz) and Bo's girlfriend Alea (Talia Mychael Blaney). Seth Fuller's evocative and cohesive photography walk us through the film's journey fluidly, guided by a strong script and authentic story. It is always invigorating to discover a first time director that already possesses a clear voice and operates in the landscape of real independent film, exciting things in store for the future! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Justine N Brilliant storytelling and characters that will capture your heart - a film that's lighthearted, funny, relatable and captures the true essence of family. It's easy to watch and will pull you in from beginning to end. Highly recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Darcy V A strong debut for writer and director Spencer Zender. What's My Name Again is a funny and heart-warming story of self-discovery centered around a loving yet unconventional family. Ryan Winn does a great job carrying the story as Bo and Allison Byrens (Karen) made me laugh throughout. The music and cinematography transport you to 1980s San Diego--making it the perfect summer movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review Brooke Z What more could you want from What's My Name Again? You will laugh, you will cry and you will be transported back in time. It's the perfect summer watch. With this as his first project, it's very clear Spencer Zender has even greater potential for future films. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review Monique N We need a sequel!! Loved this movie so much. Really liked how it brought us back to the 80s. Great characters.
