In summer 1937, young Sarah Cooper (Katy Kurtzman) has befriended mute handyman Albert Cavanaugh. Many in the town shun him and call him "Snowman" because of his white hair. Though innocent, Cavanaugh is arrested for murdering a candy-store proprietor, but Sarah pleads with her father (Dean Jones), who is an attorney, to defend him because she knows in her heart that Albert didn't do it. Her dad agrees, and the subsequent trial uncovers the darkness beneath the town's tranquility.

Audience Member This movie warms the soul, and I like the storyline, and the character's having a strong motive. I also love how talented Katy Kurtzman is in this movie. Kudos to her, for how she can be any character, and retain the excellency. She can also exemplify an emotion (not just pretending to feel like it)...and especially in this movie, oh boy does she mean it, when her role makes her cry. As for being any character, first, Katy plays the persona of a sweet angel to be around, and draws audience in. Then, she can be fierce female heroine (not a damsel-in-distress-type girl), in defending a man (kudos to you, for reversing the trope, whoever wrote the story to this movie). Then, she can be an adamant person, who will stop at nothing, to get what she wants. As for exemplifying emotions, throughout the movie, Katy demonstrates her excellency at crying-on-command--Namely, in one scene, she showed her ability to cry-on-command her long periods of time, and she really really meant it--It was almost impossible not to join the tears. Here is 1 negative: I did NOT really like the ending--What a rigged trial! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay rip off of To Kill A Mockingbird.
