Audrey W This low-budget indie has a smart and clever script. The dialogue is sharp and the story is really compelling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Anna s Very smart script. My husband has watched this movie FIVE TIMES! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/06/24 Full Review Richard O Welllllllll... I'm bias, but this is a great movie!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Dan B Your ultimate experience of a film is heavily influenced by your expectations going in. If you go into this film with the understanding that it's the debut film for a first time director shot on (what I assume) was an incredibly low budget you'll walk away more than pleasantly surprised by what you get. It's not unusual for a small budget film to be dialogue driven and Whiskey Sour is no exception. What is an exception though is how incredible the dialogue is. When you're hanging so much of your film on two characters talking over dinner, you better nail it and Whiskey Sour does. It feels authentic and relatable, like a conversation you might have yourself or overhear in a restaurant (though probably not a family restaurant). And the way all of that conversation pays off in the end? It won't leave you disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed Whiskey Sour. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Wes S Evidence that a masterfully crafted script on a low budget is superior to a multi-million-dollar film with a mediocre story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Kristina M The brilliance of the film extends beyond the performances to the written word itself. The screenplay is a work of art, displaying a meticulous craftsmanship that elevates the narrative to a level of intellectual and emotional profundity. The dialogue is not merely a means to convey information but a poetic dance that enriches the storytelling, providing the audience with a thought-provoking and immersive experience.
